Flemings Right Hand Rule.

One way of determining in which direction current flows is Flemings right hand rule. 

In Flemings right hand rule:

•          The first finger always points in the direction of the lines of magnetic flux. This means the finger points from north to south.

•          The second finger points in the direction of the inducted current.

•          The thumb points in the direction of the motion of the conductor relative to the magnetic field.
